What Is Ken Russell Doing???

I can't help wondering whether having a stroke live on national TV is actually preferable to becoming an honorary member of the Goody family...

Having a stroke would be my preferred option, certainly.

But isn't the world just great? Ken Russell on CBB - I am weak with bewildered joy. This ranks alongside Germaine Greer and George Galloway going into The House. What on earth do you suppose possessed them to do such a thing? It is staggering.

This is a bumper crop of loons, to be sure, and I can't wait to see them disintegrate. Life is sweet.

Kind regards etc

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I like the new look of the blog. It feels more...contained, if that makes any sense? How do you do these things? I'd like to add a list of blogs on my own page but have no idea how to do it. Also, I don't know how to do that thing that allows readers to click on something in the text and be magically whisked off to the person or thing being referenced. It's a bit frustrating, actually.

Anyway, I like the look.

Do you imagine they have ever seen the programme before they go in, or do you think their agent tricks them into thinking they are just popping on to Parky and before they know it they are locked up? I feel for Ken. He looks utterly, utterly bewildered.

Thanks for the comments on my makeover. Cheaper than plastic surgery, and less morally compromising. Am a bit of a technical numpty myself, but it is very straightforward. Click the customize tab at the top of your blog and you will get options to change the template. The colour and fonts tab on the left does what it says on the tin. The 'add page elements' lets you.....you guessed yourself, and if you play around with that you will work out how to add blog lists. That is assuming you are on the new version of blogger...

Nice of you to drop by anyhow, x

Hi again Mr PE

*Also, I don't know how to do that thing that allows readers to click on something in the text and be magically whisked off to the person or thing being referenced.*

That is a hyperlink. The 'post' window has an icon in the top menu bar - a globe with a link superimposed - this is your hyperlink icon and is straightforward. You will also see it in Word on the top menu bar. Good luck!

Nice one. Thanks for that. We've got my mother coming over from Scotland to stay for a few days (the darkness descends) so I won't have time to try to implement your suggestions for a while. But I certainly will do once she's gone.

I may also need to return to this space as the Big Brother tragedy unfolds. It always feels better to know that there are others out there and that you're not suffering alone.

Kind regards etc....

And how it is unfolding....

If you feel like the darkness is descending, imagine having it broadcast on Channel 4. That should make you feel better.

Guten Tag, Melanchoholic. Vielen dank for the help with the technical stuff. I've got a list up - I had to stop myself or I could have gone on forever (no, really) - but will have to wait until I write another post before trying the hyperlink thing.

Even my mum doesn't like Leo Sayer any longer, by the way. It is a measure of his sheer and relentless ghastliness on CBB that this has come to pass. She used to love him ("when I neeeeeee.....jew, I tra la la laaaa and I tou.......chew") and is rather shellshocked to discover that he is a complete tosser. Great hair, though.

Tally-ho

Mmmm, tosser extrordinaire, although very interesting viewing from a purely professional viewpoint. I remain fascinated with our narcissistic aspects, and do wonder whether he realises that he comes across as quite so self-obsessed? I really laughed at his description of S-club girly as 'not a celebrity', and his absolute lack of self-awareness. I think it's called projection.

You sound like you have survived the mother-visit with your sanity intact. Well done, gold star etc.
